Pace, Place, Time: Flexible Learning Options

Welcome to the John Paul II Online Learning Centre. High school has changed. Our school goal is to provide alternatives to students with regard to pace of learning, place for learning, and time of learning.

Our blended courses are designed with this in mind. Blended learning is a combination of synchronous, asynchronous and in-class learning for those who are registered and able to attend. Course materials, notes, live and recorder lessons are available. Students will be able to review and re-do course components for credit recovery when recommended by teaching staff.

Our courses endeavour to provide a blended learning experience for students who attend classes at John Paul II Collegiate regularly, an online learning experience for students who are registered but attend as part time, home based or distance learning students, or credit recovery for students who need to complete or re-do a portion of a course in order to earn credit. Our courses are being developed and refined on an ongoing basis.

Please talk to your course teacher or see our school counsellors, Mrs. Fransoo or Mrs. Maloney, to determine how we can support your learning needs.
