“The things you are passionate about are not random. They are your calling.”– Rachel Hollis
What do I value?
What am I passionate about?
What do I believe in?
What am I ‘rooted’ in?
What is my purpose?
As someone with Belief as one of my Top Five strengths, I have certain core values that are the foundation to everything I do. They define who I am and what I believe in, what I am passionate about, and where I find purpose.
There are many things that I am passionate about and value. I look for opportunities that fit with these passions and values. What I invest my time and energy into must be meaningful to me. I needs to matter to me and fit with my core values. An example of this in my life is, the three short term mission trips I have been on to Central America. They have proven to be some of the most valuable and meaningful times in my life as I have travelled and served others. They have reminded me of my purpose and desire to serve others. They have provided me with opportunities to live out my faith and be the hands and feet of Jesus. They have allowed me to show people that they matter.
– Colossians 3:23-24
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.
I believe that God has placed me on this earth with a purpose to live out. He has created me with these passions and values and ultimately I want to be rooted in Him – the solid foundation on which I build my life.
